Festive lighting

The City of Hobart has a range of lighting infrastructure that can be colour coordinated to raise public awareness for events and campaigns.

Locations include:

  • Cardinal Lights (Mawson Place)
  • Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre (DKHAC)
  • Elizabeth Mall
  • Franklin Square Fountain
  • Kennedy Lane
  • Rose Garden Bridge.

Please note that the Railway Roundabout Fountain is temporarily unavailable due to required maintenance. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Festive Lighting Guidelines(PDF, 1MB) provide further information, including associated fees and the conditions of use, which need to be read and agreed to before a booking application is submitted. Bookings must start and finish on a working day, and are for a minimum period of three days and a maximum period of one week.

Once you have confirmed availability for your preferred dates, you can make a booking by completing the online Festive Lighting booking application form.

Please note: all locations means the Rose Garden Bridge, Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, Franklin Square Fountain, Cardinals (Mawson Place), Elizabeth Mall, and Kennedy Lane.
