The Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant is back in all of its colour and energy!

Get ready to celebrate on Saturday 23 November 2024 at 10.30 am.

The procession traditionally marks the start of the festive season in Hobart and brings everyone together to celebrate our rich community spirit. The event fills the streets of Hobart with a huge celebration of floats, dancers, marching bands and showcases participants from a diverse range of community, school, sporting clubs and charity groups, as it winds its way around the central city block. The streets are lined with children and families who are delighted with the energy and joy that the procession brings.

The event will be a festive occasion again this year, with over 40 floats and over 1500 participants, and each of them have been working hard to create their wonderful displays, many of them handcrafted especially for the pageant.

The event this year will celebrate Christmas and our diverse cultural and community spirit.

Our special guests include Santa and his mischievous elves, and keep an eye out for a certain beloved Blue Heeler pup—we’ve heard she’ll be visiting too! Following the pageant, from 12 to 2 pm, children and families are invited to Myer for a special opportunity to meet Santa and capture family photos.

Come and see Bluey!

Wackadoo! Bluey is heading to Hobart – For real life. Come and see everyone’s favourite Heeler in person for smiles, photos and plenty of flossing of course!
