Assistive equipment

TrailRider

We offer assistive equipment for you to easily navigate around Hobart. This includes our parks and bushland reserves, beaches and CBD.

TrailRider

The TrailRider is a purpose-built wheelchair that can handle rough terrain. It helps people with mobility limitations explore some of Hobart's best bushland tracks.

It is free to hire, but you will need two operators to help navigate and steer the TrailRider. It can be used on five different routes, including selected tracks within:

  • Knocklofty Reserve
  • Waterworks Reserve
  • Wellington Park
  • Queens Domain
  • Hobart Rivulet Park.
