In the lead-up to Christmas every year a range of festive celebrations are planned around Hobart and our surrounding suburbs.

The Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant marks the start of the festive season in Hobart.

Hobart will be buzzing with roving entertainers, musical performances and more! Keep your eye out for the stilt walking Christmas Trees!

And don't forget to visit Mawson Place on the Hobart waterfront and see the City of Hobart Christmas tree!

Community Christmas Carols

Free community Christmas Carol events will be held across Hobart in December, supported by the City of Hobart.

Get your Christmas gifts wrapped while helping a local cause.

All children can post their letters to Santa Claus at a magical letterbox in Elizabeth Mall.

Park your car at the Regatta Grounds and catch the free shuttle bus to and from the city.
