The City of Hobart is delighted to once again be supporting Dark Mofo 2023. Our staff have been providing a wealth of expertise to ensure the festival runs smoothly – from events, parks, roads, parking and venues, our crews have a hand in bringing this festival to life.

We are proud sponsors of the City of Hobart + Dark Mofo Winter Feast and providing kitchens, tables and other festival equipment.

Road closures

We anticipate an increase in pedestrian traffic in the Hobart CBD for the duration of the festival, but particularly on the Hobart Waterfront. 

To enhance pedestrian safety at Dark Mofo events, a number of strategic road closures will be in place during event hours.

Parking

Dark Mofo will operate a free event car parking area at the Hobart Regatta Grounds for the duration of the festival.

Dates:

• Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 June
• Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 June

Times: 4 pm till late

Please note that opening and closing times may vary. Gates will be locked each night and a callout fee will apply.

Accessible parking

For the duration of Dark Mofo, the Abel Tasman Car Park in Salamanca Place will be converted to 3 hour accessible parking. Please note this car park will not be open on Saturdays while the Salamanca Market is running.

Dates: Monday 5 to Tuesday 20 June

Times: 24 hours a day

There are also three accessible parking spots on the Silos Link Road, at the silos end of Salamanca. These spots are restricted to 2 hours between 8.30 am and 6 pm from Monday to Saturday.

We will be extending the opening hours of public toilets near event areas and providing additional cleaning crews.

Dark Mofo Community Hotline

If you would like to report an incident or concern related to a Dark Mofo event site such as noise, wayfinding, safety or traffic issues which you cannot resolve with event staff onsite, please contact the Dark Mofo Community Hotline on 0456 814 545. The line will operate 24 hours from 8 June.
