About Diwali

Diwali or Deepavali is a festival of lights and is a major celebration on the calendar of people from the Indian subcontinent.

The festival is usually celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika (between mid-October and mid-November).

Diwali is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and Buddhists. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual 'victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.'
