Fifth Vodafone Ashes Test

City of Hobart is a supporter of the Ashes Test in southern Tasmania, and we're rolling out the welcome mat!

The city is decked out in Green and Gold to support the Aussies in their quest against England, and we've got a range of activities set up for cricket fans across the Ashes weekend.

Beat the traffic and travel free

Take the bus or ferry for a convenient way to get to and from Blundstone Arena.

The Regatta Grounds will be open for free parking, with Metro and Derwent Ferries providing free services.

A Metro Blundstone Arena Express service will be leaving the CBD from 1 pm each day of the test match, with a stop at the Regatta Grounds. Return services will be operational from 5 pm to 10.20 pm each day via the Regatta Grounds.

Or wander down to the Hobart Waterfront and catch the ferry across the river for free!

Derwent Ferries will have additional services in place, leaving Brooke St Pier from 12.30 pm each day (12.45 pm on Saturday). Return trips will start at 6.30 pm, running until 10.45 pm.

Salamanca Market

Visit Hobart's famous Salamanca Market from 8:30am on Saturday 15 January. You've got plenty of time to stroll through the wide selection of local products and produce before catching the free ferry across the Derwent, where it's a short stroll to the ground when gates open in the afternoon.
