IDPwD Morning Tea and Panel Discussion

In the lead-up to International Day of People with Disability, the City is co-hosting an event with Carer Solutions.

We'll begin with a delicious morning tea starting at 10.30 am, where you'll have the opportunity to connect with other members of the community.

This will be followed by an insightful panel discussion, where we'll delve into the often-overlooked experiences of carers and individuals living with invisible disability. Together, we'll explore the unique challenges they face and the importance of community support and advocacy.

Host Jane Morrell will be joined by representatives from Carers Tas, Invisible Disabilities Australia, as well as carers and people living with invisible disability.

Getting to the venue

The Hobart Town Hall is at 50 Macquarie St, Hobart TAS 7000

Wheelchair accessibility

There is ramp access at the front of Town Hall at the Macquarie Street entrance.

The Hobart Town Hall Ballroom on Level 1 is accessible to wheelchair users via lift on the ground floor, located to the right of the staircase. The lift is also accessible via the rear carpark and requires interaction with an intercom to gain access. This carpark is accessible from Elizabeth Street. Please see entryway to this carpark here.

Accessible bathrooms are available on Ground Floor and Level 1 of the Hobart Town Hall.

Hearing Loop

There is a Hearing Loop in the Town Hall Ballroom. Please let staff know if you require a headset.
