My Street: Celebrating New Town

Join us for an outdoor street party celebrating the fabulous New Town community and the new, upgraded New Town precinct.

This is a free event and will include live music, a roving circus, face painting, local food and drinks.

Make new friends, catch up with old ones and enjoy the festivities close to home.

This is a My Street event run by your local community with support from the City of Hobart. 

Road closure

A road closure will be in place to allow the party to take-over side streets, footpaths, grass and shops including restaurants, antiques and collectable, cafes and hand-made artworks.  

The road closure will be in place between 11 am and 4 pm at the intersection of New Town Road, Valentine and Cross streets.
