Pop-up Parties

As the pageant completes its loop of the city, the Pop-up Parties begin.

The Pop-up Parties will run on Saturday 19 November 2022, from 1 pm to 6 pm.

The free entertainment will include a lively program of music, dance, crafts, food and games and will explore some of the many ways that the festive season is celebrated by different cultures, religions and countries around the world. Some are traditional and sacred, others are fun and quirky.

Join a range of Hobart's artists and community groups representing different customs. They'll surprise and delight you while sharing their festive ways. 

Elizabeth Street Mall
A Pakistani wedding will be held with music and dance lessons, festive food and many people in traditional dress.  

Midtown Apartments Plaza 
The Colombian community will come together to celebrate with music, dance, Colombian food, a giant doll and family fun.

Collins Court
The Peruvian community will celebrate the festive season with traditional hot chocolate, biscuits, nativity scenes, Peruvian music and alpacas. 

Mawson Place and Waterfront
Roving performances can be enjoyed between Brook St Pier and PW1 celebrating other festive customs from around the world.
