A celebration of South America, Welcome Spring at the historic Hobart Town Hall Ballroom. This family-friendly event will immerse you in the vibrant culture of Latin America through music, dance, and cuisine.

Spring Celebration: Spring is not just about nature's blossoming but also marks a time when cities across Australia come alive with festivals celebrating art, music, and culture. It symbolizes renewal and the resurgence of life, celebrated across the globe for its symbolism of light, color, and joy.

Experience a rich tapestry of performances and cultural experiences

Carnavalito: Performance by children who participated in workshops.
Alpaquitay Tasmania: Peruvian performance.
Almas en Viaje: Argentine folklore.
Maira: Colombian folklore.
Gustavo and Elena: Tango performance from Argentina.
Merengue performance: Showcase of workshop learnings.
Berimbau: Brazilian beats ranging from Samba to Bossa Nova to Afro and Forro.
Son del Sur: Dive into the vibrant sounds of this electrifying 10-piece Latin jazz and salsa band—get ready to move and groove
DJ Elena Zalez: Spinning Latin beats, bringing her passion for Latin music and dance from Patagonia, Argentina to Tasmania.

Welcome Spring KIDS Event | 5 - 7 pm

Kids craft activities and special guest Elena Zalez from Melbourne with Fairycircus Entertainment, offering magical entertainment for children.

Children (0-12 years) can enjoy crafts and performances for $2 per child. Infants (under 2 years) are free. Adults accompanying children can join for free until 6 pm (a full ticket is required for staying past 6 pm).
