Thai-Pongal Festival 2019

A celebration of Thai-Pongal will be held in Hobart on Sunday 27 January. All are welcome to attend. 

Thai-Pongal is an ancient festival whereby Tamil people make offerings of thanksgiving to nature in hopes of a successful harvest.

Organised by the Tamil Association of Tasmania, the program will run from 10.15 am until 3 pm and includes dance, singing and drumming performances. The event will be held at Polish Club, 22 New Town Road.
