The Hobart Embroiderers' Guild Exhibition: 50 Years In Hobart

Starting out as an idea sparked during an adult education class and now a fully-fledged group, The Hobart Embroiderers' Guild has gone through many changes over the years while retaining its core aim of fostering the art of embroidery within the community.

The guild is now putting on a very special exhibition at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery where you can see up close some of their beautiful embroidery work while enjoying the peaceful setting of TMAG.

On display will be works from all age groups, from 7 year olds to much older adults.

This exhibition will dispel the notion that embroidery is a relic from a bygone age.
