Walking Book Club # 31 - “H is for Hawk” by Helen Macdonald

Revel in the great outdoors with our Bushcare Program's monthly 'Walking Book Club'.

For our 31st Bushcare Walking Book Club, we’ll be reading and discussing Helen Macdonald’s “H is for Hawk” as we take a stroll through the bushland of Bicentennial Park.

When Macdonald’s father dies unexpectedly, she takes on the rearing and training of a young goshawk. Equal parts nature-writing and memoir, it details Macdonald’s passage through grief and despair, and the solace she finds exploring the landscape’s wild edges with her feathered companion.

Meeting point: Mount Nelson Signal Station

To keep everyone safe during COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions, numbers need to be limited for each Bushcare event.

To attend a working bee you will need to register via Eventbrite.
