Mayoral Reception - Women Chiefs of Enterprises International
The Lord Mayor hosted a reception for the Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI).
FCEM World Congress delegates from Taiwan visited Tasmania after attending the 71st FCEM Global Congress in Sydney.
Since being founded in 1985 in Australia, WCEI has cultivated local, national and international networks. WCEI are part of the global Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM) community.
This international focus has meant that over the past several years WCEI have held joint forums with The International Alliance for Women (TIAW), the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in the US and developed and delivered a mentoring program for entrepreneurial women in the Indian Ocean alongside their sister organisations, Association Mauricienne des Femmes chefs d'Entreprises (AMFCE).
The WCEI is an important part of the business community for women in Tasmania. It provides a vital network for high calibre women entrepreneurs to connect with peers, to share their knowledge and experiences, support and inspire each other through challenges, as well as celebrate each other's achievements and excellence.
