State of the City

State of the City

State of the City reporting is one of many initiatives the City of Hobart is undertaking to inform decision-making as we plan for the future of the city. It brings together information on current trends, who we are, and what is changing in Hobart and helps us think of the city as a whole where people, health and wellbeing, economy and environment are all interconnected.

The information is provided as a series of online and interactive dashboards. As a public platform, the State of the City reporting dashboards are a useful tool for the whole community, particularly for local businesses and community organisations.

The State of the City data has examined a series of datasets including from ABS and id.profile as well as other sources, to understand trends in Hobart across a range of themes including; population, health and wellbeing, the economy, the environment, and housing.

The data presented is for general information purposes only. Users of the data should conduct their own research as well as exercise their own judgment and caution before relying on the data.

Please note: for the best experience, along with additional data and information, these dashboards are best viewed on a desktop device.
