Get hands-on and make your own pizza at the School Holiday Bake Day at Legacy Park!

This interactive event is perfect for kids, with face painters and a coffee van on site for adults.

2. Explore Hobart's parks and playgrounds

Long Beach Reserve, Sandy Bay: Refreshed with new sand and a fresh coat of paint, Long Beach Park is ready for fun! You can now book the rotunda for gatherings.

Cornelian Bay: While the kids enjoy the park at this scenic spot, grown ups can relax around the BBQ area with bookings now available for the first time.

3. DKHAC School Holiday Splash Program

Dive into the fun at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre with inflatables available on weekdays during the school holidays.

The school holiday fun includes a large inflatable in the 50m pool and a smaller inflatable in the 25m pool, while the crowd favourite blue slide will also be in full swing.

4. Youth activities at YARC

Hobart's Youth Arts and Recreation Centre offers a wide range of activities for 12 to 25-year-olds.

From hiking and KPOP classes to street theatre, DIY nails, and freestyle hip hop, there’s something for all tastes.

5. Bush Adventures

6. TMAG events

Check out exciting events and exhibitions at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), including the recently reopened Islands to Ice gallery, featuring a LEGO model of Australia's Antarctic Research ship, the RSV Nuyina icebreaker by Ryan McNaught on loan from the Australian Antarctic Division, and a Sperm Whale floor mosaic.

There's also an incredibly cool children's gallery, mapiya lumi | around here, which has a range of exciting spaces for children aged 0-7 to discover.
