Spot Platypuses and become a citizen scientist

Turn your school holidays into a wild adventure by joining the citizen scientist movement! Help scientists track and monitor Hobart's platypus populations by reporting your sightings through apps like iNaturalist, The Platy-Project, or the Australian Platypus Conservancy.

The Hobart Rivulet is one of the easiest spots in Australia to catch a glimpse of these fascinating creatures. While it's a treat to see them, it's also our responsibility to protect these unique monotremes and their habitats.
