After a seemingly endless winter, warm rays of sun are finally beaming across Hobart - heralding the launch of a jam-packed events season.

Spring Animation Forum (Saturday 9  November)

Get your creative juices flowing by attending this family-friendly event for those interested in the mysteries of animation.

The one-day forum includes a hands-on animation workshop, Q&A sessions with professional animators and the chance to watch some fun films.

Diwali Festival of Lights (Saturday 9 November) 

The state's largest multicultural gathering will be brimming with vibrant dances, colourful outfits and impressive musical acts.

In between performances, you can follow your nose and sink your teeth into some spicy Indian chaats or sweet Middle Eastern pastries.

Taking place right on Hobart’s scenic waterfront, this event celebrates the spiritual victory of light over darkness and brings multiple religious and community groups together.

Myer City of Hobart Christmas Pageant (Saturday 23 November)

Mark the start of this year's festive season by witnessing this massive holiday celebration winding its way through the city.

The march will include eye-catching floats, energetic dancers, talented bands and even the world's most famous blue heeler pup.

With more than 1500 participants expected to join Santa and his mischievous elves in the parade, there's no better way to get in the holiday spirit.
