“We’re excited to bring together live performances, an interactive marketplace, and hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy.

“This is an opportunity to embrace inclusion, support local creators, and celebrate the theme of invisibility and visibility in meaningful ways.”

Quotes to be attributed to Dance Monkeys performer Mel Spong:

“The best bit about the event is being able to celebrate with friends.

“I like dancing because it allows me to be myself.”

Quotes to be attributed to co-founder and Principal Accessibility Consultant at Modality Co and co-host of Literacy Legends podcast Rosie Putland:

“I'm proud to represent Print Radio Tasmania at City of Hobart’s IDPwD event.

“I've been waiting my whole life for someone to ask me to make a podcast!

“This year, Print Radio invited me to host Literacy Legends, a podcast that celebrates Tasmanians who are working to improve literacy in Tasmania.

“As a proudly disabled person, Print Radio Tasmania gave me the confidence and the skills to amplify my voice in disability advocacy.

“They taught me how to tell stories that inform and empower my community.

“For over 40 years, Print Radio Tasmania has increased representation of disabled storytellers in media.

“I think the saying ‘nothing about us without us’ is just as important as it has ever been.”
