Changes to traffic on ANZAC Day
Published on 13 April 2018
To assist with entry and exit to the Cenotaph and the ANZAC Day March, the City of Hobart will be putting traffic management measures in place on the Tasman Highway from the Tasman Bridge to the intersection with Liverpool Street on ANZAC Day, Wednesday 25 April.
The Regatta Grounds will be available for parking all day and will be open to the public from 4.30 am – 4 pm.
The City of Hobart has worked closely with Tasmania Police and the Department of State Growth in planning the traffic changes.
Traffic management will be in place from 4 am until approximately 2 pm and there will be changes to the speed limits during the day.
All traffic traveling from the Tasman Bridge south along the Tasman Highway will be diverted into Liverpool Street. Access to the Regatta Grounds will still be available via the Tasman Highway.
Vehicles exiting the Regatta Grounds will be diverted down the Tasman Highway to Davey Street.
Traffic traveling north along the Tasman Highway during the day may be subject to speed restrictions.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on the Tasman Bridge towards the City as there may be slight delays.
