City of Hobart by-laws review
Published on 23 June 2017
The City of Hobart is undertaking a review of five of its six by-laws, which are due to expire between August and October 2018. As part of this review, the Council resolved to undertake public consultation regarding the content of the following draft by-laws:
- Public Spaces;
- Infrastructure;
- Car Parks;
- Environmental Health; and
- Waste Management.
While the Local Government Act requires that the City advertise its by-laws once certified by the Local Government Office, this consultation is a preliminary effort to seek public comment and allow the community to have their say.
You can read the draft by-laws, view some frequently asked questions, and provide your feedback on the City of Hobart's community engagement website, Your Say Hobart.
Submissions must be received by 14 July 2017.
