Condolences from the City of Hobart

A statement from the Hobart Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds following the deaths of two sailors in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race:

"I am deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of two sailors during the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.

“On behalf of the City of Hobart, I extend my heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and crewmates during this difficult time.

"The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is a cherished event that holds great significance for our city, bringing together the sailing community and locals in celebration each year.

"This tragedy is felt deeply by our community, and our thoughts are with all those affected."
