Published on 15 May 2018
To help those with flood affected residences in the City of Hobart, the City is providing two free entry Sundays (Sunday 20 May and Sunday 27 May) to the McRobies Gully Waste Management Centre ('the tip').
To access the free entry, please provide proof of residence in the City of Hobart (e.g. drivers licence, or utility bill etc.)
Materials accepted for free disposal must only be:
- From residential properties located in the City of Hobart
- Flood affected/damaged materials
- Storm or Flood green waste
- Of residential quantities
City of Hobart staff will be on hand assess and assist as you enter and dispose of the materials.
The weighbridge/Toll Booth remains operational after the floods, however temporary arrangements are on site due to the extent of damage to the transfer station area. The Tip Shop is also currently closed due to flood damage.
It is expected that the Waste Management Centre will, at times, be extremely busy over these weekends, and your patience will be greatly appreciated as some delays may be expected.
