Have your say on our Draft Community Engagement Framework

Published on 19 July 2018

The City of Hobart has developed a Draft Community Engagement Framework which outlines the steps and core principles of the Council’s engagement process and how the community can contribute to Council decisions.

The draft framework was developed based on the results of the community engagement review undertaken in 2016-17. The City of Hobart thanks the community for their invaluable contribution during the process and invites them to provide their feedback on the draft framework until 13 August 2018.

The City of Hobart places community engagement at the core of every project. To make informed decisions, we are committed to seeking an understanding of the views, needs, issues and aspirations of the community in order to balance these with budgetary and legislative constrains.

The Draft Community Engagement Framework ensures that engagement activities are inclusive and accessible to members of the community and feedback from the community is listened to, respected and taken into consideration.

The Draft Community Engagement Framework is available on the Your Say Hobart website.

If you are not able to access the Your Say Hobart website, visit the Hobart Council Centre to request a printed copy of the Draft Community Engagement Framework and fill out a paper feedback form or call (03) 6238 2100 to request the documents to be posted to your home address.
