Hazard Reduction Burn - Bicentennial Park
Published on 28 May 2018
The City of Hobart undertakes an annual program of hazard reduction burns throughout the Hobart, in order to reduce the risk of bushfire.
The Autumn 2018 has started, with a burn scheduled to take place at Bicentennial Park, in Lambert Gully between Enterprise Road and Beddome Street on Tuesday 29 May 2018.
The public are requested to keep well outside the burn site while the burn is taking place, and for the following few days.
While we do work to reduce smoke levels, people with asthma and other respiratory conditions should be prepared for some smoke to be present throughout Hobart during hazard reduction burns.
All planned burns are weather dependent, and may be postponed in the case of adverse weather or changed wind conditions.
