Kemp Street Suite of Projects
Published on 26 February 2018
Work is underway on the Kemp Street Suite of Projects. Construction has started on the new three-storey amenities building next to the Argyle Street Car Park lift and stair lobby.
The new building will contain modern toilets, an exciting new parenting room and improved facilities for people with disabilities.
Construction activity will cause changes to toilet and parenting facilities over the next few months.
The existing parenting room has been demolished to make way for the relocated Argyle Street Car Park fire escape.
A temporary toilet block, including a baby change table, will be installed into Wellington Court in a few weeks’ time.
In the meantime, the City of Hobart has provided fold-down changing tables in the male and female accessible toilets to ensure the public still have access to parenting facilities.
