Anglesea Street footpath extension project

A new section of footpath in Anglesea Street, adjacent to the South Hobart Primary School, was constructed in October 2022.

The works involved constructing a concrete footpath to extend from the bus boarding point (adjacent to the school hall) to the Hobart Rivulet shared user path on the southern (school oval) side of the Hobart Rivulet. Part of the works involved the replacement of a tree (owned by the Department of Education) which was impacted by the construction of the new footpath.

The key outcome of the project was to provide improved connectivity for pedestrians and vulnerable road users of all abilities, including mobility device users, from the existing end of the footpath to the Hobart Rivulet, riverside path (south side).
