When is my bin collected?

Please note: if the below search is not working, you can find your bin collection dates on our Bin Collection map.

Bin collection

Enter your street address to find your collection dates.

Leave off your unit or apartment number if it is causing issues. For example, if your address is 1/56 Example Street, Hobart, search for 56 Example Street, Hobart.

Public Holidays

Bin collection operates as normal for all public holidays except Christmas Day. Check the website closer to Christmas for updated Christmas Day bin collection information.

Bin placement

  • Wheelie bins to placed out before 5.30 am of collection day.
  • Place wheelie bins 50 centimetres apart to allow the collection team room to empty your bin.
  • Place wheelie bins back onto your property boundary within 24 hours of collection.
  • Where possible, please do not place bins out behind parked vehicles.
  • Please avoid placing wheelie bins within accessible parking spaces.

How to choose the calendar

  1. Use the address search at the top of this page to see what date your recycling and FOGO collections fall on.
  2. Open both calendars.
  3. Compare the dates provided by the address search with the dates on the calendars.
  4. The calendar with the matching dates is your calendar.

For example: the search shows your recycling bin collection day is 28 November. Calendar 1 shows 28 November as a FOGO collection day (in green). Calendar 2 shows 28 November as a recycling collection day (in yellow). This means Calendar 2 is your calendar.
